Haiku Tube 10-31-06 Sci-fi Short

Hello recently I read an article on this issue of Wired Magazine and the inspiration set in ever since, fortunately this particular excerpt is now online for the world to enjoy.

Sci-Fi Shorts

Inspired by Hemingway's six-word short story that he called his best work, Wired magazine solicits very brief stories from the likes of Stan Lee, Margaret Atwood, Ursula K. Le Guin and William Shatner.

Here are some of my favorite six-word short stories out from the article:
A very good though Arthur himself insist that his story has to be more then six

With bloody hands, I say good-bye. - Frank Miller

Bush told the truth. Hell froze. - William Gibson

It costs too much staying human - Bruce Sterling

So I got inspired and here is my six-word Sci-Fi story

Media controlled God, man fulfills apocalypse . -Kirk Sato

May the Force Be with You this Halloween

100 yr old tree and MOAB

Muslim group hacks tree rumored to have powers

Hard-liners target banyan in Jakarta to prove there was nothing supernatural about it.

JAKARTA, Indonesia -- A hard-line Muslim youth group chopped up a 100-year-old banyan tree in central Jakarta to prove it did not have mystical powers, as rumors had led some locals to believe, officials said Tuesday.

Islam is a strongly monotheistic religion and believing in any power other than God is considered a grave sin.

Hard-liners in Indonesia often criticize other Muslims in the country for still practicing Hindu, Buddhist and animist rituals that predate Islam's arrival in the archipelago.

[More on the story]

Kirk Sato: However as for karma goes, a MOAB from the US B-2 bomber fell on the Talibans Mosque in Afgansnistan, sadly there were nothing magical about it except a pile of dust.........

It's the freedom of religion that you badstard fanatics don't understand about. Apparently the concept went blank on the mind of those Muslims or perhaps Islams got no room for tolerance ?
