The Future of Sexy Robots

Sexy robots and the future of robotic ethics

The race is on to keep humans one step ahead of robots: an international team of scientists and academics is to publish a code of ethics for machines as they become more and more sophisticated. Dilemmas may arrive sooner than we think, says Henrik Christensen. "People are going to be having sex with robots within five years".he said. So should limits be set on the appearance, for example, of such robotic sex toys? The greatest danger, however, is likely to lie with robots that are able to learn from their "experiences". As systems develop, robots are likely to have much more sophisticated self-learning mechanisms built into them and it may become impossible to predict exactly how they will behave.

Well this particular article from Times UK just got my noodle tinkle into the utmost dilemma of the ages, why would anyone eager to have sex with a robot anyway? First of any self respectable man with some financial abilities knows that with a fraction of the cost of purchasing such an erotic device, ones probably might as well be flying to Bangkok and get himself fifty go-go dancers girls for the same deal(I think you get a discount too if you're buying in bulk). However I must admit that I always have a certain animosity toward anything that resembles a sex toy. Trust me I'm very comfortable with my own sexuality but there are times that I found my certain encounter with those adult theme gadgets to be a bit intimidating. For example not so long ago, I was invited to my friend apartment and I didn't know that her vibrator has a motion sensor or what not because as I approached to her bedroom to say hello, I was greeted by a loud buzz sound from her cabinet by the bed. To my surprise she was away to get her mail and I didn't even know what to make of those ever sound of mysterious thundering tremor, which at that time was quite frighten. As it turned out her sex toy sometime has the mind of its own activating itself uninvited. So to my argument against sexual devices, could one imagines a malfunction on your lovebots. Imagine the consequences and mishaps that will follow if you happen to spill some wine cooler on it. And yes as of my friend, she was quite embarrassed the minute I notified her that the rather large battery assisted tampon was going off while she was away. Anyhow let's explore the moral consequence of human being establish a sexual congregation with a robot for a minute, as of right now many people do practice the good old hetero-humping as the purpose of procreation or relieving their inner frustration. Also homosexuality which recently has been accepted by the modern society as the mean of the alternative carnal act of union such as lesbianism has always been an integral part of many straight man fantasy (including mine) but could you just imagine somebody would call you out in prejudice of being a "robosexual" ? Would that be as degrading as sodomy? Perhaps the founder of Robotic Code of Ethics Issac Asimov never thought about establishing laws governing robot dealing in this territory. Down below is the "Three Laws of Robotic" for those of you who had no clue what I'm talking about.

Robot may not injure human or, through inaction, allow human to come to harm

Robot must obey human orders, unless they conflict with first law

Robot must protect itself if this does not conflict with other laws

Umm..I'm sure I do not want a warning label like that on my sex toys so before I sign off on this nonsense transmission lets imagine a world where there a gay robot check out the video and ponder the realm of robotic homosexuality.
