Well it has been two months since the last transmission of my blog; yes mostly the negligence could most be blame to the whirlwind of my chaotic life for the past few months. For the closest of friends in Dallas would know, perhaps the lady luck has been so kind enough to look down upon me. Despites several mishaps about my career since the beginning of the year, finally the dust have settled. Though I could never recover all of the money that I was promised to received, however half is better than nothing. As of now I have settled down in Thailand for a long run, probably for a year or two finish my promise with my family of having a degree for once. Even though I could really careless about this whole artificial credential paper, I finally could make some sense of stability in my life. I can happily turn my back to those who cheated me and stab me in Bangkok with a one finger salute to them all (which two of them happen to be my own aunt). At least for now I will gather up all the ashes and start off new with my Japanese stepmom and my little brother.

For my friends in Dallas whom are wondering about my well being in Bangkok, I got to be honest to you all. Though Thailand might not be the best cup of tea when it comes to the creature comfort like in the US, with all the technological efficiency to feed any desirable appetites. However one thing I would never miss about Dallas is the cops, on the contrary the cops in Bangkok are way more reasonable when it comes to misdemeanor which can reasonably deal with dollars and sense. Also with help from my Japanese mom, now I even have the opprotuniy to venture to Japan this coming summer. So overall the party life and my own blood family support is a right mixture for a great time in Bangkok for this remaining year to come. I believe that things are happen for a reason, not because the man upstairs would care so much about me which I would never want it to be that way anyhow (plus owning him a favor is definitely not a good thing). But I have a sense of belonging that it is time for me to grow up into another mature individual, by helping little brother to excel as a well rounded teenager mean paramount to me more than own success for now. So when I will be back to Dallas? Which is on everyone of my closest friends might ask, well one thing for certain you might see me back there sooner than you expected so watch out. So for the time being stay tune and let Kirk Sato has his great little adventure in this wonderland call the Southeast Asia.

Hello folks sorry for a brief disappearance from the ever shorter attention span of the online world. Unfortunately Kirk Sato has gotten a job promotion and it's not the kind that come with perks of power Armani suit and the corporate jet. However it just happens that I got a better title on my business card with the same pay and longer working hours. So you could imagine that my creative juice got snag out by the adjusting work period. Let just say that I now spend 3 hours of my everyday, commuting in this great city of Bangkok which happen to be my new locale for my physical presence at the movement. Well enough about my poor pissed excuse of being just sheer lazy, before we begin I would like to make a couple of announcements about my blogging affair. First thank you for my frequent readers of the Weekly Digg, especially my Korean hotness Kimchi who actually motivated me with a friendly reminder that somebody ought to wake Kirk up on the blogging session, so thanks Kimchi now I will make it even more spicy. Additionally to make it up for you all, I decided to create my new column for the weekend which I still not quite sure which day would be preferable between Friday and Saturday. Hello fellas and welcome back to yet another mindless entertainment of the Weekly Digg. As I hope everyone in the Pan handle of the dirty southern states are not freezing their butts of to death, also I would like to send shout out to the folks in the OK state hang tight or get some moonshine. Because you all going to need it for a few days to weather out the snowstorm. Anyhow this edition of the Weekly Digg I would like to start off with some comment response s from my infamous blog grinding down on the iPhone this past weekend. One thing was certain, that was one of my most view blog yet to date. And of course Kirk Sato himself did received some commendations and barrage of death threats, here is one of the few good ones

10 reasons IPhone is going to be a Flop

Oh the dust storm of the wow factor at Macworld, yes the iPhone and Apple TV are indeed some new innovation from Apple (No longer Apple Computer, Inc). Hopefully with all intoxicating two hours key note on how Apple will be the new Sony. Plus Steve Job bending on declaration an all out war with everyone, not even mobile phone manufacturers were saved. So I waited patiently until all the cloud of Mac addicts would settled and I believe that everyone is really going to need a reality check on this little gadget here.

Sorry Steve Jobs, the honeymoon of hot air is over for the iPhone. I’m willing to bet that iPhone is heading toward the same direction just like the Zune. It's not that I’m sick of it already (well, maybe a bit), it's just time for Apple to answer some tough questions. Otherwise, it will be joining the ugly step children group just like the Zune, Sony PS3, and Segways. In the realm of "tech that looks absolutely amazing but is far too expensive for most people to even consider buying, Apple better be careful trying not to over hype this little sucker. So here is a few pointers iPhone will have to resolve before the product launch this coming June.

1. Form Factors: Have I seen you before ? Though iPhone is pretty and thin, but is it can be easily drop due to the lack of curves and slick finishing like the iPod. It’s definitely scratch prone device, additionally lacking a stylus or a traditional thumb board will sure put more unwanted smudge on the touch screen. So when was the last time you look at a screen filled with your thumb prints? Pretty disgusting right ? Perhaps Apple is specifically targeting non-professionals, as this is a largely untapped profitable market.

2. It’s the Service, Stupid: People might want the phone that Cingular has to offer, but in the long run it is the quality of the wireless product and services that keep customers (coverage, plan features, rates, etc.). Plus how much of quality content Apple will have to come up with to support the IPhone ecosystem? Better start making good friends with Youtube and Yahoo now. Perhaps the consumers in the US should get a second opinion from their futurist friends in Japan. After all they were enjoying this innovation with cutting edge technology for years prior the iPhone conception. Ultimately in the convergence arena of gadgets, it's the content that wins.

3. Kung Fu Texting: The number one usage for mobile around the world is still making phone calls and sending text messages. Have you ever tried power texting on a touch screen? I can assure you when doing a one handed kung fu texting on a touch screen, it pretty annoying. And how does one can do this on the iPhone? On its touchscreen? Let me know. So one-handed texting is out of question. I guess Steve Job is planning to have his peripheral partners begin selling yet another expensive bluetooth keyboard. Mind as well call it a PDA that play iTunes. Without a keyboard, this will be a titanic flop.

4.You don’t want Your Phone to be an Open Platform: This is a deal breaker for Steve Jobs, one Apple is late in the game with its "Smart-Phone" platforms. Two the market has already been flooded with other proven long term invested platform. (eg .Palm OS, Windows Mobile, and Symbian). Additionally these platforms are open to the end-user to developed and use third party applications without a hitch to their respective cellular network. Yes all the current smart-phones are capable of dispensing malicious application to the cell network. However at the end of the day it's the omnipresent layers of communication hardwares that win. Sorry Apple, if your mobile OS can wreck havoc the entire West Coast cell network into a coma, then you have no business getting into the mobile handset industry.

5. Jack of All Trades: Is the master of none, Convergence devices are only pretty in concept and only suited for some people. Also the compromises that you have to make in order to just carry one device most result in a undesirable response. Are people willing to give up their ultrahip Moto phones, which fit anywhere stealthy in their pocket? So that they can carry an 8GB digital storage camera phone. Oh wait may be I'm thinking about the Nokia N Series. It is yet to be seen that the consumers are willing to trade in their old 30-60 GB IPod for a Jack of all trades Apple Branded mobile device.

6. Proprietary is for Losers: One Lesson Apple should learn is from Sony, the list of gigantic flop from that company is longer than an Empire state building, from Betamax all the way to UMD. Why only limits the consumer to the iTune download only? If I cannot add my personal movies and Music collection from DVD and CD, who cares how great it will look on this touch screen if my hands are tied to rebuy everything.

7.Unforgetable Experience for One Time:
Yes the launch of iPod undoubtedly were the biggest technological marvel back in 2001. Because it was the first MP3 device to solve all the majors problems with the portable players, such as the lack of storage capacity in both Flash memory and Hard disk in those days. However those are not even an issue today. Also IPod won the hearts of the consumer with their dial navigation versus other cumbersome navigation systems from the manufacturer in the past. However in the handset business there are already an answer to those prayers a while back ago, they call it the Crackberry. So do you have the sand to take your touch screen on with those addictive little buttons, Steve?

8. It's Data Not Voice:With the rise of VOIP, the traditional voice business is heading to a dooming sunset. Also the lack of 3G support might merely be for a political reason, as the fact that Cingular's 3G coverage still has gaping holes outside of major U.S. cities. However Sprint has no problem with their mass deployment of EVDO network which is significantly faster than the Cingular network.The 3G question is very important to those who want to stream video and audio to their phone at any time without wardriving for a hotspot. Only if you're restricted to Wi-Fi hot spot to get your data and not using it in the backseat of a car, on the train, or sitting on a park bench. This will lose appeal quickly to the mobile professionals.

9. Total cost of ownership: The price of the ownership will be higher than the price tag for the mobile operator. 600 dollars are still pretty steep for a phone. Also what kind of user maintenance is required? Obviously the battery of this phone will only last for two years just like the service agreement. So the consumer will want the next generation of iPhone right away ? Even if the iPhone wears three hats, at the end Cingular will realized that it is too costly keeping it around in the long run for its consumers. You all know what happen to the Nokia Communicator right.

10. Experience: Samsung, Motorola, and Nokia have scoured the world's design schools and hired artists on three continents to keep their phones looking good. Motorola has recently revived its fortunes with design of the Razr. KDDI, a Japanese carrier, has a design showcase in the teen shopping area of Tokyo just to be close to trends. Apple, in other words, won't be competing against rather dullish, unstylish companies like the old Compaq. The handset companies move pretty quick and put out new models every few weeks. Perhaps Apple, Inc. should research the consumer behavior more thoroughly on the mobile market before diving in for an embarrassment.

Ways to Blow up Identity Card's RFID Chips

In October, the U.S. State Department began issuing biometric "ePassports" that contain a radio frequency identification tag under the back cover. The tiny chip holds the usual passport data, including a digital photo. The motive behind adding the chips is ostensibly good: to combat counterfeiting and illegal immigration. However the good intention of big brother omnipresence backlash faster than a crack whip. A German hacker quickly found a way to crack the encryption. With a laptop and a chip reader he bought for $200, he was able to steal data from an encrypted RFID tag, potentially allowing him to clone an ePassport. And it's not just Americans who are at risk. Twenty-seven countries (mostly in Europe) that participate in the U.S. Visa Waiver Program are required by U.S. law to issue the new electronic passports to their citizens. The Dutch and British media have already reported major security flaws in the new IDs. Despites an obvious flaw in the chip encryption scheme, the US State Department will push the RFID passport program mandating all passport with always -on radio frequency identification chips by January 1. This will making it easy for officials and hackers alike to grab your personal stats.

So what's a security-conscious citizen like me will do? Though it is inevitable that Uncle Sam want to track everyone like cattle's, however there are still ways to make this method a bit more inconvenient for them. So I went around and do some research for devising a best plan to disable the RFID chips without burning up your passport all together. But be careful - tampering with a passport is punishable by 25 years in prison in the US. Not to mention the "special " custom search, with rubber gloves. If you're getting paranoid about strangers slurping up you identity ? Here 's what you can do about it.

Water Treatment

1 "Accidentally" leaving your passport in the jeans you just put in the washer won't work. You're more likely to ruin you passport than the chip. Plus in the near future there will plenty more of RFID water resistance type.

Nuking

2 Forget about nuking it in the microwave, long term exposure to the nuking session could cause the chips burst into flames, leaving scorch marks. Besides ruining you passport with permanent nasty burnt smell.

Hammer Time
3 The best approach? Hammer time. Hitting the chip with a blunt, hard object should disable it. A nonworking RFID doesn't invalidate the passport. So you can still use it.

Best Solution

Hammer Time + 10 second Nuking Session, this will ensure that you've properly destroyed the actual storage unit within the chip itself. A brief microwave session also help electrocuting the power supply circuit. So what will you have left at the end, is a non working RFID passport with all your paper trail information intact. Besides this will give some work for your local custom agent to do typing the information and do their job.

Today I ran into some nifty news in the RFID business front, apparently in the realm of cutting edge tracking logistics 2.0. Open source still manage finding its way advancing collaboration of creativity among the tech community. Though this platform might not yet be ready for the enterprise prime time, however it's worth a good look.
OpenBeacon is an open source wireless tracking system for following people around buildings got its first public use last week at the Chaos Communication Congress in Berlin. The creators of the Open Beacon system sold the RFID tags at US$13 each to attendees who volunteered to be tracked during the four-day event. Also Open Beacon worked with partners to create a three dimensional model of the conference center and anyone could use touch-screen monitors that displayed the location of attendees on the model. Touching an attendee on the screen displayed a profile that the person could voluntarily add.

This Initiative is a free design for an active RFID device which operates in the 2.4GHz ISM band. Open Beacon uses chips from Nordic Semiconductor ASA that transmit and receive over the 2.4GHz frequency, which is available for unlicensed use in many countries. The device contains a unique serial number, but may have other information. OpenBeacon is designed as a transceiver device and therefore both transmits and receives radio waves. The intention of this project is to offer a wide range of use cases such as visitor or item tracking and wireless remote control with a free self-contained and low-cost RFID design.

One of the greatest strength in OpenBeacon tag comparing to other Wi-Fi based active RFID tracking system is longer battery life by transmit and then sleep, cutting back on power consumption. The devices could run for several months before requiring a new battery. Plus both hardware and software are open source which make this alternative considerably attractive in term of pricing comparing to other real time tracking RFID system.

One of the possible real life application is crowd control, like the seasonal pilgrimage of Mecca. The identities wouldn't be important but crowd control monitors could note when many of the tagged pilgrims converge in one spot, implying that potentially many other untagged people are also in the same area, and then they could work to divert or otherwise alleviate the congestion.

In Mr. Stevens defense, at least he knew the benefits of the internet as a potential monetization platform for the US government so he definitely got the runner up prize. As for out top moronic winner this year goes to the new Thailand ICT Minister, Professor Sitthichai Pokai-udom. As for the audience who are wondering about his background, not to worry he didn't really have anything valuable too much for your IT trend research. For a starter he is a newly Thai junta appointed leader of Information and Communications Technology of Thailand, which ironically the organization was form by the deposed Thaksinian government. Why does he deserved the Tech Moron of the Year 2006 you asked? Well recently in November, Sitthichai came with a strong criticism toward open source software. In an interview, he noted,

"With open source, there is no intellectual property. Anyone can use it and all your ideas become public domain. If nobody can make money from it, there will be no development and open source software quickly becomes outdated... As a programmer, if I can write good code, why should I give it away? Thailand can do good source code without open source. Apart from Linux, open source software is often abandoned and not developed further, and that it leads to a lot of low-quality software with lots of bugs.
And here's the gem - he said the current government plan (regarding open source) was a case of the blind leading the blind, as neither the people who are in charge nor the people in the industry seem to know the dangers of open source software."

What a head trip, did I hear this correctly? So I went to consult the source on IT intelligence at Slashdot just to make sure that I'm not only one who nominating him and sure enough, it was confirm on their category Tags. Wow I did not know that, the dangers of open source software, obviously the Professor has been watching too many Battlestar Galactica episodes. Probably that was the motive for Microsoft Thailand representatives meeting prime minister, deputy prime minister, and finance minister for implementation of the future of the Thai e-government.

One thing is certain on the current state open source initiative in Thailand, a senile blind leading the blinds to an abyss of anti-competitive monopolistic software business . If you hoping the carnage would cease there, letting all the sacrificial blood of the open source hippies on the alter then you're so wrong. To add more salt to the wound, Mr Sitthichai Pokai-udom made another great insight in a recent MIT invention for the world poors, The OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) which he nonchalantly disregard them as "toys". So let me summarized Mr. Siitthichai's deluded Phenomenological world, he thinks open source is only good for A.D.D hippies and OLPC is such a bad toy it need not be introduced to Thai poor youths who barely have money to even buy a toy this Christmas. Perhaps the real reason for his anti-sentiment toward open source is the lack of support in the technical services and financial support from Mr. Gate? So it' s better to accept a software that famous for the blue screen of death and bloated with security vulnerabilities than an open standard of open source initiative which is on constant scrutinies from it user 24/7 for bugs?

Perhaps Mr Sitichai himself never use the world wide web, which came from W3C open source initiative. May be the minister himself worries that if a web page is broken on his computer, then he might actually have to call Tim Berner Lee himself. Better yet in Mr Sittichai's wonderland, let's call Microsoft because they invented WWW with the Internet Explorer right ? So let me explain a brief point the leader of the blinds. Open source is all about the initiative to implement an open standard where all could benefit on an agreeable software framework platform. In the current digital world one thing reign supreme, which is standard the ultimate trump card. Obviously he is missing the real point, this idea of common share knowledge will prevent some moron who are trying to patent hyperlink just because they feel like it. Plus you don't publicized your magical source code that enhance your competitive edge open on the internet, even though the framework of your application is base on open source software.

As for the situation of the destruction of Intellectual Property, perhaps the professor fail to read the latest theory of The Law of Conservation of Attractive Profit, which state once software is commoditized just like the PC from IBM in the 70-80's. For the most part, many of you folks out there probably trying to recall the past mistakes that you have done foolishly in the past year. Which in hope 2007 will bring you a certain resolution achievement, even though you may never be able to get rid of that bad habit. As for me, the biggest blunder of 2006 probably would be in the field of my job, which happen to in Information Technology. Though the consequence might not have threaten my livelihood entirely, but it sure did leave me a nasty memory which I love to abandon with all the days in this year. Well this particular blog might seems to be some what off beat, however for the sake of my infinite appeties for artistic appreciation. I felt compel to experiment a little mixture art with technology in photo jounalism. Not to wory all, I still dedicate my spare time bringing you all my critical thought on technological impact on our dystopian world. You just have to wait in other blog for the future to come. Fortunately couple of nights ago, I was at the right time and place. There was a massive fire that burn down a slum community that left hundreds homeless, usally this kind of disater would get a lot media coverage plus a timely response to their immediate danger. However that never happened, first becuase the blaze was left untreated due the traffic congestion and the sheer incompetence of the Thai traffic police. Second for all those drama unfolding in front of my eyes, it took the news crew two hours to get their fat ass reporting it on the televison set. Last but not least, all those suffering homeless folks got only these pathetic little column about their lost on this Bangkokpost news , here is a sample of rather dry excerpt.

The Klong Toey fire destroyed 54 houses, left hundreds of people homeless, and caused five million baht in damage.
A make-shift relief centre has been set up near the community for the fire victims.
Police are investigating the cause of the three fires in the city.

So in the spirit of how Web 2.0 can amplify any content to be more dramatic and open ended, I have use a few Web 2.0 tools plus my artistic sense to deliver the same news content in a more dramatic overtone. After all in this technological dystopia, the news agency in Thailand can learn a thing or two from CNN, adding more drama in a timely fashion equals better rating. Alright let's get going on my 2nd part of this three part photo blog series shall we ? Thanks my friends on Myspace for all the nice comments, however I guess on the blogger ecosystem most of the time I just got the admiring lurkers. So if you feel compel to send me a shout out please do on the comment section ! Anyway were we ? Oh from the first few days of my trip to Lampang, My next venture took me the neigbor province of Phayao. So I took the advice from the monks in Lampang to pay a visit to the Anayootipyharam Temple. From what I gathered from the visit at the monastery in Lampang, the head monk who ran the Abbey, was from this huge monastery residing in the Thailand national park reserve, stretching several hundred acres throughout the forest. It took me a good couple of days to finish the tour literally, however for a photography afficcidio like I am it was worth every single tiring steps. So without further delay let's get this photo blog going.

This the front entrance to front part the temple, you have to take quite a few step up the abbey. However the entire monastery expand all over the national park, I really recommend a car for the entire tour or else you will need a few days of walking and you don't want that.

Kirk Sato has to venture off to the desert of the "Real" next week as part of my yearly ritual soul searching without the distraction of technology. So I will be in Northern part of Thailand for about a week and off the grid. Don't expect me to wandering around in the sea of the net or blogging for about during this time period. For once I can leave all the headache of IT and the yearly grind without contemplating any expectation. However one thing I will promise you all for sure, is lots of pictures to share on my blog right after my pilgrimage. A Case of a Racist Dallas Cop

The topic said it ! I thought that the town that I've grown to call home with love, despite the tolerance and the understanding that all the common Dallas citizens have embrace to our great diversity. Apparently Dallas cops have not digest it in to their nervous system by constant practice of racial profiling. Tonight as I got out off work from my place, I went down to Spike, my local bar for a drink just to ease the pain of the daily grind and to contemplate about the stress of tomorrow business. Spike is hosting the Neo-soul Hip Hop night, which has been conducted in that very same fashion every Monday Night for almost five months. I have to say that the patrons that come on Monday night are mostly comprise of mostly African American which it might be a little bit different from most clientele that come to Mockingbird Station on any other night.

As I sat outside on the patio slowly drinking away my Jameson on the rock enjoying the conversation with my friend, I notice a police cruiser swing by slowly on their patrol. The thought of having cops running around Mockingbird station didn't bother me much at first because I was happy that finally my tax money is actually working on my favor for once. However five minutes later the same police car swing by again at Spike and stop when one of the SMU blondie goes over their and talk to him for a minute before she took off.

So here I was very curious of how this drunken ass SMU girl from Margarita Ranch manage to approach his car half drunk and yet he still let her go away. As my scotch came to half way full 15 minutes later the same cop car still manage to do his retarded patrol by and this time I gave him a direct disgusted look to his way, what is this ? you've mistaken uptown for Fairpark ? or should you come to me and ask for a direction. As the third drive by passed, my friend who was accompany just said it out loud "that is one racist cop". And you know I couldn't argue with him on any other night when the SMU crowd would come out and get their shit face on I never seen a single patrol police car doing their thing at night and especially on Wednesday night when the plaza itself get really rowdy, there is not a single cop that you could spot half a a mile away. As I manage to down my only one glass of scotch for the night the very same police car still managed to pass by the plaza for two more times.

I think the moral of the story is damn he was driving around in circle 5 times for 40 minutes, that's where your tax money at work, looking after people in uptown while they 're sleeping because different folks happen to wanting a goodtime.

And sure enough, Boston University's Jelle Atema and his team learned how to crudely guide these kings of the sea using either electrical stimulation to mimic their neural signals or implanting little gadgets attached to their noses that release delicious-smelling squid juice on cue. With this delicious break through (for the shark most part) , the marine biologists still have a long way to go before they fully understand how sharks use odor stimuli to navigate, and their funding ran out before any more progress could be made at the University. Despite the lack of support from Uncle Sam, however, Atema is eager to raise fresh funding in order to leverage his achievements into useful civilian applications; remote-control sharks could potentially be used to track fish populations, changes in ocean temperature, or chemical spills.

Just considered the potential for various abuses in this application, I mean trusting your intelligence gathering to a gadget that could possibly having you for dinner? Obviously folks at Boston University have not yet seen Deep Blue Sea,the freaking sharks ate Samuel L Jackson ! Plus whatever happened to laser on the shark's head ? I'm not quite sure how effective this super glue technique is going to work. Especially when more than half of women out there already miss their contraceptive pill regimen periodically. So if they going to have to apply this baby everyday to protect themsleves against AIDS, this can be a definte problem. So what if they forget their daily scheduled even once or twice? Are they going to contract an incurable disease then? I still believe that the good old rubber is the best method of protection. I just can't wait until they come out with "flavored" edible version, can somebody say this taste like jello shot !

Life 300 Dollars at a Time

Another night passed by in the ever changing Dallas. Obviously I guess the commodity that life in Dallas worth. a mere 300 bucks. So for you guys trying to pimp yourself out with your Prada and Gucci accessories know this, it cost more than a life in Dallas. Usually nothing ever bother me as much, no matter how much I hated my current job despite how well the money might be rolling. Hell with my current pilot project for the future job I just don't ever have time to think about money. However no matter how focus I am on this borrowed time, I believed this is a chance I got left to do something meaningful with my life. One topic lingered on my mind like a splinter, when I was at the conference at the Gaylord Texan Hotel (yeah it sounds gay alright). Me and my very good friend had a conversation about abortion, yep you heard what I say, when were enjoying the American professional life drinking our cafe latte enema, enjoying the scenery that would make girls forget about being anything but conservative. She asked me about how is my idea of abortion casually at first, as I was a very carefree sarcastic male, I gave her the idea of the power of exponential.

She asked with a little curiosity of what the heck are you talking about?. I couldn't resist testing the tolerance of the opposite sex by explaining to her that all growth regardless of evolutionary ladder it comes down that bacteria with the power of growth. They are not able to consume the whole planet mere the fact that it has exhausted its own supply of oxygen because the lack of conscience to its own environment. People on the planet being born everyday at the rate of 4 per second. So why the power of exponential does not dictate that the whole planet will be enviably doomed with the march of humanity. Well that is why it's not about being pro life or pro choice will make a difference. It is how many human beings out there live the life that worth taking resources of the environment or taking up space of more worthy person that might come along to replace you.

I thought that kind of remark would put any women into a disgusted stage that would just end a nonsense moral struggle of ages. However she argue that the right of a child lies on his or her flesh maker, the mother regardless of social order might dictate of how its going to be. Well I agreed with her that no matter how the male dominated lawmakers out there trying to say about abortion and birth control is immoral for women to even contemplate. The news that you see everyday might contradict the otherwise, the news that a mother chop her baby up to death because the fact she thinks that she would be an unfitted parents. Or how about she might strangled the whole school of kids just because she had a bad day. The truth is this grotesques fact will never vanish away even though we abolish abortion. So I guess the right to life given to women might not be the best idea either. I shall end this conversation with once upon a time I know that a life can be flushed by 300 dollars in Dallas.

However as the news was unfolding I was perplexed my the fact that many high ranking military personnel and the news reporters were pretend to be dismay by the fact the American troops would committed such a horrific act for no apparently reason. Here comes one of those mentally heavy blog once again, so if you're not in the mood flip the channel. Anyhow tonight I had the chance to actually get my mind of from all the madness of the project, the politics, business strategy, user requirement, and corruption from business partners, out into the garbage bin for just one night. It is ironic that as I'm getting toward 30 years old, more and more I detest the world of business and the hunger for monetary value has ceased to captivate my passion. It is one of those movements in my life, just a descent dinner with family goofing around with my cousins being a child. All of these life simple movements have mean so much to me more than any money can buy. Anyhow the dinner at Rang Mahal restaurant on top of the Rembrandt hotel, as I enjoyed a quite cheerful dinner the thought has hit me when I finished a glass of French Bordeaux. Despite there are a few people in my company thinking of pushing me out from the project due to many conflicts of interest however I'm not going to bored anyone over with the detail. One thing shall always hold true, if you're know what is integrity and the ethical core of your motivation. If the intention is pure and your method is fair to other, it is only their fault that they will never going to enjoy life like yours. Only greed will be their companionship, just sheer lust for their appetites would consume them blindly until the end of days not knowing what is life beyond chasing after greed.

The ironic part about this particular dinner tonight, as I sit with some of the most successful politicians and business people in Thailand including my aunt enjoying a gloomy skyline with the light works of the distant thunders. In the world that we are empowered by the tools of reason such as science and mathematics, helping our children evaluating their world in its simplistic truth, yet it is truly tragic that the supply-chain of hate will never end in the name of Faith. Ultimately the war on terror is a downhill battle, when the roots of its representatives are being breed on the daily basis just because their parents are too ignorant to see the vicious cycles. Anyway the good news to you all is some dude in Ireland was kind enough to upload one of my all time favorite movie, Pirate of Silicon Valley. Many of you might despise my ,off the chart geek meter, blog today. However I must protest and recommend you to really see this movie. Even though the budget and the script writing might not share the same calibre as Wall Street. However I can assure you that the nostalgia element in this movie really did capture the cut throat nature of computing business in the earlier 80's.
So if you might not care about all those computing mumo jumbles, at least I believe that you will get a great kick of how Steve Jobs and Bill Gates business relationship was like before Bill strike gold on Windows, let just say somebody got owned like a little bitch in those pre dotcom hay day! So I would highly recommend for any one who is a aficionado of business drama to really enjoy this movie. At a court hearing Wednesday, Dinssa was ordered held in custody until at least until Monday at the request of prosecutors. Assistant U.S. Attorney Leonid Feller argued Dinssa was a potential risk to the community and federal agents want to get a warrant to search his computer more thoroughly, The Detroit News reported Thursday. U.S. Magistrate Donald Scheer approved Feller's request to detain him. Dinssa, who is from Dallas, arrived in Detroit from Nigeria by way of Amsterdam and was headed for Phoenix, Feller said. He is charged with concealing more than $10,000 in his luggage, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison, the Detroit Free Press reported.

Now I shall venture on the very idea of reincarnation and I can explain to you in simplistic term without all religious overtones. To me I treat religion like substance consumption only in moderation, too much of anything that affect the mind will always result in psychotic episode including beliefs. All of my wonders about the religious interest in the implication of reincarnation came to me in clarity with an article I read a while back and the physic theory of Uncertain Principle. For the people who are not familiar with the theory here is a quick rundown.

In quantum physics, the Heisenberg uncertainty principle or the Heisenberg indeterminacy principle the latter name given to it by Niels Bohr states that one cannot measure values (with arbitrary precision) of certain conjugate quantities, which are pairs of observables of a single elementary particle. In essence, this is the same as to allow the two frequencies to interfere with each other. But if a robot exhibits all the same signs and behaviours of a human in love, and if it professes its love for a human, then surely, so far as the recipient is concerned, their robot is indeed in love with them, whatever being in love means to a robot. “Will people love them back?” I believe the answer to be an unqualified “Yes”, even this might be appluading to alot of people. But consider the millions of people who develop extremely strong emotional attachments to their pet animals, and the rapidity with which millions developed emotional attachments to their Tamgotchis, both of which are indications as to the strength of emotion that can be felt by humans for non-humans, and as to the feelings that millions will develop for robots when they are more emotionally sophisticated than both animals and Tamagotchis. One advice to all gents and lady out there, one might barely survive the jealousy of a flesh how are you going to coup with a "rage of the machine"? I don't want to imagine !

Well last Saturday I got myself pretty much torn up at Spike and Nobu with my usual drinking wingman Smash Gorden himself. Well I got bored and tired because Ive been up for over 20 hours trying to finish the stupid presentation for work. Anyway I came across this very interesting article about this particular Russian astronomer who came up with a theory to categorized civilization base on their total energy output. It makes perfect since to me thats why were alone in this universe. Because if you applied the same rule as where we are on the civilization evolutionary scale. its like an ant trying to get hitch hike on an Autobahn full of cars. They cant see or hear you thank God they didnt obliterated us just the fact that youre mere close to its path.

In 1964, Russian Astromer Nikolai Kardashev proposed a scheme for classifying advanced technological civilizations. He identified three possible types and distinguished between them in terms of the power they could muster for the purposes of interstellar communications.

Type I civilization would be able to marshal energy resources for communications on a planet-wide scale, equivalent to the entire present power consumption of the human race, or about 10¹⁶ watts.

Type II civilization would surpass this by a factor of approximately ten billion, making available 10²⁶ watts, by exploiting the total energy output of its central star. Freeman Dyson, for example, has shown in general terms how this might be done with a Dyson sphere.

Type III civilization would have evolved far enough to tap the energy resources of an entire galaxy. This would give a further increase by at least a factor of 10 billion to about 10³⁶ watts.

And Where we at ?

On this Discriminating scale, the human race would presently qualify as roughly a Type 0.7 (yeah we're 0)

Kardashev explored the consequences of a Type II or III civilization diverting all of its non-essential power resources into an effort to communicate with other races.

Type II civilization, he estimated, could send the information equivalent of a medium-sized library across the Galaxy in a transmission burst lasting just 100 seconds (though to travel from one side of the Galaxy to the other would take it tens of thousands of years). The same amount of information could be sent across an intergalactic distance of 10 million light-years with a transmission time of a few weeks.

Type III civilization could broadcast a library of information across the entire observable universe with a transmission time of 3 seconds (although the journey to the most distant receiver, in this case, would take about 10 billion years). Kardashev argued that an Ozma-like search would be unlikely to detect a Type I civilization and that SETI programs should concentrate instead on looking for the kind of intense radio signals that might emanate from Type II or III activity .

So there you have it ! People trying to justify with space romanticism and religious emotional overtone of why we are alone in the Universe. Well just pure mathematical calculation alone has already provide us with an answer slap in the face like a bad first date Time is eternal and more than likely that our own complacency would be the architecture of our own demise.
